with 75-80% of americas supporting gays in the military.... Do we need to drive to washington and explain kindergarten logic and reasoning skills to all the old homophobic duffers who sit on their asses and say no to anything that will allow america to move forward because obama is president?

With Nelson getting on board with this, it looks like it is very likely that it will be passed by the end of the week. I'm not thrilled with the 'compromise', but at least something is finally happening.

    compramise is better than nothing.

I think we got both the republican senators from maine, who both support gay rights, and tend to be moderate centrist libritarians more than anything.
