uganda, and alot of the african nations, are kind of screwed up one way or another.

Be it dictatorships that gain and maintian power through murder, blackmail, and preventing aide from outside groups to getting to the people who need it...

... or genociding of whole groups of people for being different. There are places where fundementalist christians kill whole groups of traditional christians because they believe god wants them to kill all who do not believe exactly the same as they do.

Rape is a problem in many countries in africa. A girl cannot deny a man sex, because a girl is below men, and therefore do not have a choice. This is the big reason aids is such a epidemic in africa. that, coupled with the refusal to educate their citizens about the risk of unprotected sex, and the catholic churches illogical and immoral claim that condoms cause aids, which only makes matters worse.

Should we really be surprised at such ignorance.
