Southern Baptists vote to support gay ban

No one cares about the Southern Baptist Church except other Southern Baptists. Everyone else knows that they are just ultra-religious bigots.

Their opinions make about as much of an impact as the opinion of some random 2 year old in Guam.

 

Bahaha. Exactly. This is another reason I don't like living in the South, but everywhere has their crazies, I guess

 

This turn of events has caught me completely by surprise. COMPLETELY. *eyeroll*

 

Anyone who is shocked by this needs to climb out of their box. Of course the right-wing Christians are going to fight to keep their tradition of pushing their dismal, convoluted and closed-minded beliefs upon the rest of society. It is of their very nature to restrict and remove the rights of whoever they please if it means that they can sleep at night knowing that their opinions are law.

 

Even most Southerners find the Baptists a little, "Over the top" on just about anything.

In other words, we don't give a rats ass about their opinions.

a little off topic but we had a southern baptist conventiona the hotel, one of their priests, or reverands, or whatever they have came up to me for some sleeves that you put your shipping info in. His were brown and mine where white, so when I gave him one I said: "mine are just like your only they are white." to which he responds:
"well, we can't mix the whites and the browns now can we?"

 

this aint news this is history its been going on so long... and i don't want them to leave i want them booted out...they stand against everything the USA was founded upon..equality a new frontier the place of dreams...

so repealing DADT will allow gay soldiers to come out and get rid of all of the southerners from the army. I'm sorry I can't spot anything wrong with that

 

I concur Specially with Obama trying to end the warring and such. Southerners would want to just keep it going. (Not all, but these specific southerners )
