Okay, it's Tuesday and 9:37 AM in Honolulu, so we should be getting news within the next few hours.

Pre-missionary Hawai'i was at least tolerating towards LGBTs but now it's just annoying to see how the God-fearing part of the islands handle this bill. Fricken haole bigotry has deeply rooted itself into the islands it's disheartening.

I'm not too hopeful about the bill passing.

I was never hopeful about this bill.

Never am really. There's always something that messes it up.

Prop.8 is the perfect example of that. >>

Let's create a political uprising in Hawaii where the governor is banished to North Korea, but North Korea doesn't know so she gets arrested for entering the country illegally and is sentenced to 10 years of hard labor.

    ----------

I know I just posted but I must post again:

. “I have been open and consistent in my opposition to same-sex marriage, and find that House Bill 444 is essentially same sex marriage by another name.”

    That's what she said.

Okay, but it's not marriage. Civil unions aren't religious, that's why they aren't call marriages, therefore you have no reason to be against them. If you're against giving people equal rights, then you are a bigot. You have no clue what you're talking about, and you are a pathetic excuse for a human being.

    Stupid politicians are stupid.

I cannot understand that logic. Let the people vote on the issue? The people vote on their representatives to decide. That is how this government works. There are so many decisions the government has made that people haven't liked throughout history. Some have been good, others, not so much. So why this issue?

That is why I don't agree with the veto system.

Who knows what other important bills she vetoed if this is how she comes to a decision. Stall, talk to both sides, ignore the legislature, sign/veto away.
