Less than three weeks after Republican Terry Branstad announced that Iowa state Sen. Kim Reynolds would be his running mate in the race for Iowa governor, some of her comments on social issues have raised some questions.

In an interview with The Iowa Independent on Tuesday, Reynolds offered her thoughts on the impact of legalized gay and lesbian marriages in the state.

"I believe that the definition of marriage is between one man and one woman from a religious aspect. That is my belief. I have stated that. I have always believed that," she said.

She also said she might be open to legalizing an option other than marriage...
