I really hope what they say is true; that is was drug-cartel fueled and not homophobia fueled. Either way, this is still horrible.

But seriously as somebody who has a majority of their family living in Mexico I can tell you this unfortunately is the norm. Especially for the northern parts near the US border.

 

This. This type of occurrence is disturbingly common. It's truly sad. :\

 

It was (according to CNN) due to the drug cartels. No phobics involved. It's still horrible, of course. These people who kill are just awful. Sucks that it's spreading into the U.S. now.

but i find it hard to believe that it was just a drug cartel killing people for a reason we don't know...its a stretch of an explanation as far as im concerned.

Umm, that's the entire issue. They kill people randomly without any remorse to show people they still have a stranglehold on Mexico. It doesn't matter what your orientation is, sex, age, race, hell, they've actually shot babies before (seriously, it's fucking disturbing). They don't give a crap about human life, as long as their making money.

And in turn, this leads to Mexicans crossing the border illegally to get out, as well as cartels coming in illegally and/or hiding the drugs to give to buyers in the U.S. And quite a few times violence has spread over into the US. A few months ago the Mexican Military chased a cartel into Arizona, one time a highway in Arizona became a battlefield between drug smugglers and cops, etc.

Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is that they weren't killed because they were gay, they were killed by the most ruthless and evil kinds of human beings in order to show dominance above everyone. It's just the worst kind of hell.
