Councilwoman Getting Death Threats For Supporting Non-Discrimination Against Gays

How nice, sadly the threateners probably think they're "Christian". They are so not.

 

They're more like "psychotic" .

 

Oh I know, but I was referring to the idiocy that these "Christians" complain about LGBT people not following the "Word of God" when we're not doing anything of the sort, and how they're in reality the ones breaking all the rules (Violence, hate, murder, discrimination, ya know).

It's just sad.

 

Well, what they called the 'word of god', jesus refered to as the work of man *at least, leviticus, which christ rejected under its title of the jewish holiness code, which technically was only written to apply to priests*. Also, given the highly contradictory nature, and the long proven mistranslated nature of most of the bible as it transitioned from language to language, that only further erodes the claim of it coming from god.

If God is infallible, then the bible proves that it was not written by god, because it is fallible to the extreme.

That is why traditional christanity *as laid out by christ* view the bible as metahporical. fundementalist, and hate based christians view it as literal, because how can they persecute, and justify murder, corrective rape, and violence against people who are different unless they can lie to themselves about the bible being direct from god, when it has time and time been proven it was written by men.

I agree 1,000% with Emberstone and Shevanel.And also,if they say that God is almighty and as merciful as they say,he woulnd't mind wether we are LGBT.According to my mom,what counts is on the inside.You can be a heterosexual,and be a phsycotic rapist or be gay,and be someone who is honest and good to others.Gee,I wonder which one is going to hell?

religion is often refered to the opiate of the masses. I would like to ammend that. religion is abused as the opiete of the hateful.

Religion is not evil. Faith is not evil. People, however, make it evil.

 

This is really stupid. The people sending the death threats just need to come out.
