"We're trying to live our lives, follow the rules..."

    Oh that's rich.

They are. Trying to follow the rules that they've set for the rest of the country. And they're pissed that we're not playing by them.

God bless the founding fathers who set up the constitution and the judical system to be a foil against people like rush limbaugh, the prop 8 proponants, and the fundementalist facist nazi christian hate groups that have appeared to turn american into a cesspool of child molesting priests, nazi style book burnings, and holocaust (though most of them deny the holocaust) ethnic, racial, and social cleansings.

One fundamental question I'd like to ask Limbaugh: "Who do you define as 'us'"?

    you wouldnt like the answer.

it is likely along the same lines of sarah palin standing up infront of far right-wing nutjobs, and saying "it is nice to be here in real america."

the simple answer is that their definition of 'us' and 'america' are anyone who in full conforms to their narrow minded, shallow, self-absorbed, self-serving, christian-only-drinking fountain mentality.

Yes, that pesky freedom of speech thing gets in the way every time doesn't it? Thank God the founding fathers didn't put anything like that in the constitution...oh wait...

I didnt say anything about freedom of speech.

people can say whatever they want, but the judicial system exists to protect us from having our rights trampled upon by those who want to take them away from us.

Rush can say whatever he wants. rush can complain and bitch and moan that the 7 million californians who voted against equality are not getting to keep their biggotry enshrined in the law.

the fact is the courts were created to prevent voters from doing what they did. We are a constitutional republic. we can vote, we just cant vote to take away rights, liberties, and freedoms from american citizens. the judicial system protects us... except for the anti-middle class, pro-coorporate ruling recently that lets coorporations buy elections.

Corporations have always bought elections and politicians. Who exactly do you think runs Washington? They have been doing it long before the Court issued its recent ruling. It's a fact of life you need to get used to.
I've said it before: special interests control Washington, they always have and always will. It simply depends on what Party is in power as to which special interest runs the town.

it is more a matter that now, that coorprate control is now sanctioned.
