NFL Hall of Famer Makes Anti-Gay Joke On-Air

Ahh..Hampton is a cocky announcer. The first statement he made was clearly inappropriate.

I actually thought the second one was kind of funny. Cowboys need to be knocked off their perch.

 

I actually saw this. Didn't think much of it even had a chuckle. Trash talking is just that trash talking.

 

I kinda disagree with the article writer's opinion. I think the comments had more to do with the nature of Brokeback Mountain and Clint Eastwood westerns. I doubt it had much to do with the content. Brokeback was a sad and dramatic (sort of like Tony Romo) and Eastwood is just plain badass. If Brokeback mountain were about gay cowboys who seek vigilante justice against the men who killed [insert important figure here], it too would be kinda badass. It boils down, for me at least, to tough vs. dramatic (and overrated if you ask me).

The first comment... Too soon. The oil spill would have been much better to make light of.
