    It's only one of the seven MPs, and he represents a christianity based conservative party to boot. Is it really such a big thing? I mean sure it's completly impolite and unproffesional but it's not as-if the Prime Minister refused to come :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Plus the Faroese are an isolated society, change is bound to take longer to reach there (and be accepted when it does), it always has like when it came to reducing whaling.

    Its still a big thing. but i think it is very important that she still agreed to go, and took it well. responding in hatred, as much as i am guilty of it, only reinforces the people who've hurt us's opinion

    The Faroe Islands are incredibly remote. I think the fact that 6 out of 7 party leaders wanted to go to the banquet is pretty good.

    I've never even heard of the Faroe Islands before now... But I've heard of Iceland. Point for Iceland!
