A ninth suspect in the brutal anti-gay attacks against three people in the Bronx was taken into police custody earlier today, authorities confirm.

Ruddy Vargas-Perez, 22, will be charged with attacks on a 30-year-old gay man and two 17-year-old boys who were romantically linked with him.

Investigators say Vargas-Perez was apprehended by police after he failed to turn himself in.

Eight other suspects, ranging from ages 16 to 23, were arraigned on Sunday on hate crime charges, including kidnapping, robbery and sodomy. Six were denied bail and two were given $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

All nine suspects, who were part of a gang called the Latin King Goonies, on October 3 allegedly found out the victims were gay, brought them to an abandoned apartment at 1910 Osborne Place and then allegedly beat and tortured them...
