    Not surprising.

    Especially since Obama made it clear he does not support gay marriage. It's logical to think other people close to him politically aren't either.

    Alright, WTF.

    Still so lost. How could Obama not support SSM, but still not support DOMA? Didn't make sense.

    Sort of. Couples still don't get federal benefits and protections that go along with being married. So as long as DOMA stands, gay couples cannot be "married" in the eyes of the federal government.
