    Good words, good words.
Have any Republican politicians actually done this? There has been a slur of Dems doing it... like she said, diversity is a good thing, so...

yeah..it will get better once she gets booted out of The Speakership.

But..her message is on target. It's not a Repub or Dem thing...as cynical as I am, due to the recent events, the politicians are right in broadcasting these messages.

Do you need to insert politics into everything?

No...that would be a "Are you fucking kidding me?"

Did anyone even bother to read the entire post?

Yes and it would have been much better without your first sentence.

You entire post isn't the issue, just the first section.

Some people don't like Pelosi, regardless of her "involvement" with this "It Gets Better" thing. But I guess people aren't allowed to make a small joke that references their views on the politician in question.

Bamaboy didn't do anything wrong, so lay off.

Well, this is the LGBT Rights, Issues, and Equality section, which in case you forgot, usually does have a lot to do with politics. Not always, but this section sees most of the political issues. To be fair, he did include the second part saying that he agreed with her.

    Y'all are being hypersensitive here.

Guys, just a little reminder. Please don't escalate the discussion into something where it really doesn't have to go. Honestly, it is getting a bit much. I'm not so sure that some of the responses in this thread were necessary.

Can we just agree on the importance of her contribution, regardless of her political leanings? Who cares to which political party she belongs to? Isn't the message, and the message alone that is important here?

    Yeah, really.

The only good thing about this whole suicide mess is that so many people with different politics, lifestyles, and beliefs are all coming together to attempt to help these depressed kids. It's very rare to see this kind of universal support. For once, it's more about the message than any single person's personal beliefs. I find it refreshing.

Leon is right...if there is a positive to this whole mess it is that people from all walks of life and political affiliation are banding together to highlight how things can improve for these young folks. I've been on the edge myself and it is a scary place.

My apologizes, Dan, for interjecting politics into a POLITICAL forum.

I'll just submit a recipe for clam chowder next time if that's more appropriate.
