Just a point, though. At least she's alive. This kind of story could be happening many, many times with tragic results.

 

Wow, as horrible as that was, it amazes me there are people out there with the strength to live though all that. So as sad as it is, it gives me hope, and makes me wanna keep fighting.

 

I love how defiant she was, it actually brings hope to humanity.

Damn, that makes me very angry that people are so into their religion, and that they can't look past the koran and just can't accept their child. I mean i have fucked up visions when i imagine coming out, being crucified, mom commiting suicide, but nothing like this shit.

 

I still can't understand how people can be so terrible so as to lock their own child up and encourage them to kill themselves. How can you have so much hate for something like homosexuality - or anything for that matter - that you turn so cold against your own child?? Her courage is incredible.

 

How could anyone think that it's a choice when stuff like this happens? Do they really think someone would want this to happen to them? Even in the US, there's still a lot of discrimination, it doesn't make anything easier like some delusional people say.

 

How can anyone possibly justify doing this to her, let alone her own family? Where is this hatred coming from? This was the girl who you loved and cherished for years. What kind of hatred could make you do this to her, over one little thing about herself she told you? What is the source of this hatred? Hatred is not something we are born with, it is taught. Who is teaching this hatred? Who lets it grow to this point? Why would people ever value this hatred over their love for someone they care about?
