    Let's use his logic.

"Idiots don't get human rights lolbecause."

Looks like people who allowed that and wrote that don't get human rights. Oh well.

Thanks for posting that. I've written an email to the editor of the paper and posted a link on facebook so that all my friends can write, too.
Anyone else want to do the same?

    "Let's progress, not regress"

Right... because taking rights away from human beings is total progress.

This was just funny. It's so hard to take this one seriously. HOME just sounds like another one of those "one dude with a computer" groups.

I sent the editor an e-mail. Probably won't do anything but I still figured, might as well.

That's just horrible, seriously how can they publish something like that in a college-based newspaper. But then again, I guess that some people are just from the shallow end of the gene pool.

the greek civilization did not fall, it was overpowered by the roman armies, and forcefully brought into the fold, with the romans adopting and renaming elements of greek culture, trying to pass them off as their own.

Roman civilization was decimated by christanity, when constantine threw out roman tradition in favor of monothieistic christanity out of the fact that it was gaining momentum, and better to be on the winning side. There is no denying that the decadence of the roman empire did weaken it in the end, but the fact is that homosexuality historically had nothing to do with it.

Christanity was the true end of the roman civilization, and by end, it really means a transition from one social structure to another. the people still continued to live, and echos of the democratic values created by the greeks, and continued in part by the romans still exist today.

Just letting everyone know, the Editor has posted a editorial in their Friday issue explaining why they allowed the letter to print.

    >>>They're just your average, run of the mill fringe group with a web site that says gay people should be forced to use separate public restrooms...

Hey, I'm down with that. Go ahead and see how many business want to build additional "gay-only" restrooms...

Just that HOME is a group recognized by the university and therefore they kind of have to allow ANYONE to write because it's also their right to their own opinion. They also went on to explain they've promoted the LGBT group on campus and such before, so while they don't endorse or support the man's views, they do believe in freedom of speech.

I guess it is a good idea, because it would be one less place were we have to listen to them spew their crap... both oratorically, and literally.

You know what would happen, though. Our bathrooms would be so kick-ass that the straight people would start complaining that THEY wanted to go there, too. Just like our clubs.

Greece and Rome? you mean the ones that survived until homosexuality was outlawed. And I will definitely be sending the editor a message
