Why did she dress him up as a girl at all? I'm not condemning her for it, I'm just saying that if a 5 year old knows hes going to get the piss ripped out of him for wearing a girl costume then the parent should know.

She forgot that people are idiots. She falsely assumed that people were as intelligent as she is.

Did you read the entire article? She was hesitant at first to get him the costume. But after he kept asking for it, she got it for him.

While my dad was dead set against dressing me as a girl my step mom allowed it it was the best 2 hrs of my life

I am frightened by gingers. O_O

But apart from that, cool mom. And I've seen plenty of straight guys dress up as girls for Halloween. Teenagers, mind you, but still. xD

"Thirdly, I am not worried that your son will grow up to be an actual ninja so back off."

This part was full of so much win for me.

Almost every guy in my elementary school dressed up as a girl for Halloween at least once. Everyone thought it was hilarious and then moved on with their lives.

That mother is AWESOME! Working with kids, I've seen so many cases of parents who are like A, B, and C. I remember one case in particular where I was watching a group of kids who were 2-4 years old at the YMCA. We were doing a short 2 hour program that provided something for kids to do while their parents worked out or got errands done. We did a few craft projects and then we let the kids free play with toys. One little boy put glitter on his craft project, and his mother was so angry about us letting him use glitter because it was "girly" and another mother came in to see her 3 year old son playing dress up with the girls and yelled at him because he had put on a pair of heeled dress up shoes to play with his friends. It makes me so ANGRY when parents are the ones shoving gender roles down the throats of little kids who are perfectly happy just doing whatever they think is fun. I'm so glad to see that there are parents out there who are willing to let their kids just be who they are and have a good time and who will stick up for them when others aren't okay with it.
