I am so sick of these equal time for nutjobs articles. They wouldn't go seek out equal time from white supremacist groups for articles on race relations, but when it comes to anything remotely gay related, the press gives column inches to bigoted nuts under the cover of equal time.

if they would stop pissing and defecating on the constitution for one minutes, and grew some brain cells, these religious terrorists would learn that the constitution does not grant them the right to push their agenda on the world.

freedom of religion only means in the privacy of your life, you can have a religious belief... not that you can force it upon others.

Look, I know some of these people and I have been trying for YEARS to get them to focus their protesting energy on far more important things...like discovering the secret government studio where they filmed the Moon Landing.

It's there somewhere I know it...I just haven't been able to pinpoint it yet.

Didn't the FCC get rid of the Fairness Doctrine back in the 80s?

Yes. The only time where an "equal time" qualification applies to is actual political candidates before an election. A radio/tv station that falls under the jurisdiction of the FCC cannot show preferences to one particular candidate. If they have one particular candidate on, they must extend the invitation to the opposing candidate and give them the same exact time their opposition had. The candidate does not have to accept, but they must extend an invite none-the-less.

This does not apply, to paid advertisements or paid appearances.

They can go f**k themselves frankly. If anyone has a secret agenda, it's them.

Where/what is the "hidden homosexual agenda" they're talking about? Gay teens commit suicide, it was made public, and now people are trying to educate others on gay people, and show them that we aren't 8-fingered walking STD's. They aren't trying to secretly teach anything. If a kid believes that same sex marriage is okay after hearing these people talk, it isn't because of a hidden homosexual agenda, it's because (s)he chose to believe in equality after hearing something different than "faggots are evil".

I don't see what these religious people think advocates are trying to "sneak" into peoples brains. Advocates are teaching equality, y'know, kind of like how students are required to read Huck Finn or The Diary of Anne Frank...

There is, of course, no actual requirement for equal time (and it never applied to anything but the airwaves anyway), but there is this idea that balanced journalism requires finding an opposing opinion, even when the opposing opinion is ridiculous and held by a bigoted nutjob.
