Is It Time For Grade Schools To Start Asking Students If They're Gay?

    The article summed up my thoughts nicely.

    "The more information a school has on its student body, the thinking goes, the more able it is to meet the needs of those students. It's very easy for administrators and parents to overlook the needs of queer students because many of them exist invisibly, either by not being out or, even if they are out, not being registered in any quantitative way."

    So I'm all for it. Although 7th grade might be an early starting point. I'd say high school+ is the best place to aim for.

    I think it is a good idea because they can better provide for their students. The ONLY problem I have is that if they don't have many who identify as gay, will they not provide as much? I think they should provide for their students whether there's a lot of gay kids or not.
