Lesbian, gay and bisexual teens singled out for punishment

Is it possible that authority figures are just less empathetic towards GLBT kids? Perhaps the more they can relate to a person, the better chance they are going to give them a lesser sentence. Just a thought. Either way, Not cool!

I was expelled for a minor offense, that someone who did the same exact thing a month later got only a 3-day suspension for.

Oh 8th grade, how I am glad you are not on my transcripts.

 

Oh, by the way, I should add in the fact that I threatened someone who told me that would tell everyone I was gay, because I have had very bad experiences with people knowing that I am. So yes, the school knew as it was in the incidence report.
