Are Social Conservatives Losing Clout -- or Just the Gay Debate?

they tend to be on the losing side on social issues... quite simply because they are wrong on race, gender, religious freedom for all (and not just them), sexual orientation, and peoples freedoms (they only like theirs, but not the freedoms for people who are different).

America is not going to get anywhere if we keep holding citizens back simply because they dont fit the narrow minded agenda of people who view having a vagina, and not a penis, as a point of deep shame.

 

Liberals are winning the gay battle, but the "culture wars" include other issues, the right to choose, immigration reform, tax reform, and poverty eradication. Liberals aren't doing so great on those.

 

I thought liberals won the right to choose. If by right to choose you mean right to have an abortion that is.

The more debates that the social conservatives loose; and are seen to lose, the less credible their position in general will become. From a UK perspective I'd say we've almost totally lost our social conservatives. Those that remain seem prone to terrible gaffs that just undermine their position more.
