I wouldn't be so quick to condemn McDonalds. These services are outsourced to service providers who use third party services or software for content filtering.

Likely the site was blocked because some keywords set off a robot. Usually the blocked pages will have an email address you can use to request removing the site from the blocked list. Most content filtering services are pretty reasonable and will unblock the site.

I work at McDonald's so I'll give it a try tomorrow. I do know for sure that this site & gay porn aren't blocked.

*No I wasn't wanking. LOL. I was showing a manager something about a kid I graduated with who now does porn. I know, much better right?

I haven't really ever ran into any blocks.

Yeah that ad is what confuses me. They block support websites yet put out a clearly gay friendly ad?

This is by far the best explanation for what has happened. I highly doubt that a global company would be so quick to block such a specific topic if you will.

As someone who works for a very large global corporation I have seen nothing but the greatest attempts to avoid lawsuits. In relation to GLBT they have always included domestic partnership in all benefits areas, company outings, harassment etc. Companies wouldn't just single out the GLBT community.

The McDonald's Corporation would NOT do anything deliberately homophobic. They're smarter than that.
