that law is not going to last, even if the well documented unstable, racist, homophobic, sexist utah right wing gets it passed.

I highly doubt even the conservatives on the federal supreme court would be able to find a way to make it constitutional.

This law would not be able to be written very easily.

1. How do you define a gay couple, does 2 individual homosexuals make up a gay couple even though they are not in a relationship?

2. If relationship is the determining factor, then how do you define a relationship? Does 2 people living in the same house constitute a relationship, but you can have housemates or roomates that happens to be 2 homosexuals/

3. How do you determine what contracts to void, two legal adult persons are entitled to be signatory parties to a contract, unless some ambiguous conditions are met and they can no longer enter into contracts?

If this becomes law, it will be a piece of law that will be difficult for a judge to follow by, because to judge someone according to law is indeed a tough job of precise interpretation.

This is so ridiculous! Most of the pro-discrimination folks tell us that they just want to keep the word marriage "special" meaning a man+woman pairing so they're not against civil unions. This guy has taken it to the exact opposite direction and this bill is clearly invidious. Why doesn't he just try to pass a bill saying that anyone slightly suspected of being gay can't have a job or own property? What an asshat.

I hope this guy is remembered with the same disgrace as Strom Thurmond and his KKK friends.
