Now that Congress has repealed the law mandating the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, a Wisconsin congresswoman is urging the Defense Department to reconsider the less-than-honorable status of some soldiers discharged under its policy against gay troops serving openly.

In a letter to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, Representative Gwen Moore of Wisconsin says veterans who received “other than honorable” discharges because they were gay are being unfairly barred from access to medical care and other military benefits...

Good. They should change it, that's what repealing DADT is about isn't it? (Hooray Wisconsin, way to be actually awesome for once)

I am so happy I'm alive in this age. With the repeal of DADT, and everything that will hopefully follow it, people like me who have always dreamed of joining the military can do so without worry.
