Various books, films, and tv show fandoms are coming together in a campaign for equality for LGBT people. They want to use the strong themes of fighting for others, expesially the opressed to make a case for equality, and the rights of all to be treated with respect and as equals.

This has been a major movement already in harry potter for years now, with the 2002 get a clue drive raising 26k in ten days for book aid international. It is good to see that the movement of fandoms fighting for a cause is continuing to grow, and that they are willing to stand up for equality.

though I question why twilight, a series about a shallow, concieted, narassistic girl who lusts for the day she is the object owned by a misogynistic stalker is on the list... that series is one bad message after another.
