It's pretty clear that he's lying... did he get high on Mucinex before going to the gay bar? If so, then how is it an experiment? If he got high after or during the gay bar experience, then why did he take Mucinex while with a gay guy at his house. If he's straight, then why would he even go home with a guy from the gay bar?!

The thing that makes me really sick is the comments that are blaming the victim instead of this sociopath.

I think we need to start a "no idiocy" campaign. Violence against others is not justifiable, and worse when it is premeditated by bigotted hatred.

I think it is far more likely that this douchebag who commited this violent, vulger, mutilating crime that he intended to do this all along. he wanted to kill a gay person.

mucinex, last I checked, is not a hallucinagenic like other cough medicines are, because mucinex focuses on mucus buildup causing cough and congestion, while the cough medicines kids get high on focus on covering up the cough.
