It seems like there was only one person who had a problem with Prof. Tudor's condition. Everyone else supported and recommended her for tenure. This single person, who has a track record of discriminating against Prof. Tudor, not only denies her tenure but fires her for being a transgender?

    How is this not illegal?

She can sue. Even without direct anti-discrimination laws for transgendered individuals, she can still sue for discrimination and unlawful firing. given her track record of excellence as a educator, she has the right to sue, and should. the courts have set precedence on this kind of case before, if I remeber correctly, so she really should persue it.
