It's nice it's being considered, though it probably won't pass.

I dont like being called an alternative lifestyle.... Never choose who to love and be attracted to, and why must we be alternative? To me it makes being gay sound slightly lesser than what not is that being equal.

Nice idea, but the term "alternative lifestyle" is annoying.

I don't like being referred to as an "alternative lifestyle" either. The idea is nice, but it would be nicer if they actually put in the effort to really make us feel accepted by referring to us as complete equals. It's cool to know that it's being considered here in my state, but with our government, it probably won't pass. :frowning2:

As much as I don't like the term "alt lifestlye" I still like the news. I think it is a good step foreward.

Ultimately, I would love to see this type of stuff taught to people the same age that they learn about martin luther king and civil rights movement and how it isn't fair to judge based on color. (first grade?) -obviously not as detailed as sex-ed at that age.

As has been said, calling us an "alternative lifestyle" is a bit silly. But in an uphill battle as steep as this, you must take small victories. Also, maybe I 'm just cynical, but I highly doubt this will actually happen. It's reassuring to know that it would even be proposed though.
