That's just really. Really. Really. Bad advertizing.

Is anyone surprised by this? This is the same company whose commercials for itself boil down to "Sprint, the phone company for assholes."

I dont think it's to big of a deal. Yes it can be interpreted as insulting, but then again it could just be interpreted as this guy (who obviously isnt trans by the way his hair and face is) wearing a dress just doesnt make sense. We always talk about how religious group cry bigotry and offense at everything, when in reality our community is absolutely no different (we do it even more if you think about it). I honestly think we just need to recognize it for what it is, a funny ad. Have a chuckle, and move on.

Ascended, you are correct. I agree that to someone who is informed, there is nothing insulting about this; however, most people are horribly misinformed about transgenders. The stereotypical "man in a dress" who looks like he has no business in a dress is exactly how they see us.

I understand that, and I mean no offense, but by crying offense every time something like this comes up we shall only serve to make our community look worse (I mean the entire LGBT community). While I agree under-sensitivity is bad hypersensitivity is no better.

The point of the ad is more of a "No matter how you dress him up, this guy is still ugly" just like "No matter how you present it, this takeover is ugly" not a "This takeover is bad, just like Transgendered people"

That's true. Thanks for the clarification, Ascended.
