why dont they let the process work as it is meant to be, and get a brain and start working to overturn other republican polices and ideologies that harm gays.

DADT repeal is on track, and the processes to ensure a proper, full, and ordered transition moves smoothly.

This. They need to be patient about it... plus, it doesn't have much hope of being repealed. It may pass in the house, but the Senate won't pass it, and even if it does Obama won't sign it into law. Nothing can really happen here.

I think they are just trying to take away the fact that democrats achieved DADT repeal, and they dont want obama to have any victories.

it is like the many republicans who are praising bush for getting osama bin laden killed, when he wasent involved.

As lawrence O'donnell pointed out last week: if you want to give credit to bush for bin laden being taken out, you need to start giving him credit for the econamy he left for us.

it is all a tactic to try to limit the impact of DADT repeal for the people who actually got off their asses and got it through congress.

For one thing this case has been in the works for years so pushing it further doesn’t really cost that much and a positive ruling could be used as precedent in future cases; a court ruling would also make legislative repeal imposable.

What other areas do you want them to work on? There are already challenges to DOMA in the pipeline so a new one isn’t needed. Where else would a legal case be useful?

Please, this case has been in the courts for years there are good reasons for not abandoning it.
