    I find it particularly pathetic that some of the most hateful, cruel people are the ones that claim to align themselves most strongly with Christian teachings, which, in their pure form, are the antithesis of hatred and bigotry.

    I applaud this person for taking a stand and seeking to make a difference. Unfortunately, in a community of bigots, it's unlikely he'll be able to make a lasting difference.

    if you are openly gay (or in the closet, for that matter), why would you go to a christian college? most tend to skew fundementalist, or have a strong fundementalist presence on campus.

    That is like being a african american jew, and walking into a white pride rally.

    You do not go into the lions den and piss on the lion.

    Of course, a death treat but isn't that against Christian's rules?
