God I'm glad to hear that. I was worried that being gay was a real thing. It's a relief to know that gay people are just pretend and can't hurt us.

 

Yep. And all those non-whites choose to not lay in bathtubs full of bleach, and not wear blue contacts, and not dye their hair blonde, and not get reconstructive surgery to more closely resemble white folks. And so long as they keep making this choice, I don't see why they need protection, either.

In other words, i'm going to listen to my own prejudice as opposed to reason in forming my opinion on a matter concerning thousands of my constituents whose liberties depend on my neutral point of view... and then i'll defend that forsaking of not just reason, but also an entire demographic of people by covering it with a 'personal issue' blanket.

Obviously, we all know it isn't a choice but even if it was....so what? Religion is a choice and it's protected by all sorts of things so what's the difference?

Gah. It just kills me that people are going to read this headline (and probably nothing else) and think OH! It IS a lifestyle choice then... despite the fact that there is scientific evidence that says otherwise. Hooray for holding completely unsupported beliefs just because you read it somewhere!

I don't know. Scott Brown understood that a republican is limited in their electability if they can't tow a middle ground, moderate, little from column A/little from column B in the state of mass.
