    Following the Election Victory for Canadian Prime Minister Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada on May 2nd. Prime Minister Harper along with The Queen of Canada's Representative, Governor-General David Johnston, swore in Canada's first Gay Foreign Minister, John Baird, along with the rest of his new Cabinet on May 18th.


    With cabinet shuffle, Harper builds up his economic front

    lol Scott Brison wasn't out or else he might have counted.

    all the 'bulldog' characters seem to be gay.... Smitherman, Baird...

    Apparently Rick Mercer is gay too o.0 did not know that.

    Yeah... all of those you listed are. Another high profile person is Kathleen Wynne, Ontario's Minister of Transportation.

    Oh, sure, Baird may be gay, but the appointment is only falsely progressive. He is also a vocal opponent of the Kyoto Protocal and he was the Environment Minister for two years under Harper, whose policies are well known among the international community as sly and degressive. Baird has also conducted himself in a very undiplomatic manner in parliament, which should raise doubt about his abilities to represent Canada abroad tastefully.
