I watched that last night and thought it was pleasantly surprising too. Except for the sack of crap at the end who gives her the thumbs up after she goes off on the guys. Earring guy became a hero though.

Wow that was really amazing. I hate to say that I'm from New York after seeing that last part. But I've run into people like that waitress and I've had people tell them off when my girlfriend and I go to places. My girlfriend was in Build a Bear a few weeks ago making me a bear with her friend and the woman asked my girlfriend who it was for and her friend said "Her girlfriend" and the woman treated her very differently after that. People need to pull their heads out of their asses and start accepting people for who they are and not what their sexual orientation is

Made me cry too. I found the segment on the difference between the reactions in Texas and in New York quite interesting. So much for stereotypes.

And this is one reason why Texas is 9001x better than New York

I would love to see this done in the UK, I would like to see what the result is over this side of the world. Can't see it being near as good as the result there to be honest.

Fuck all this state association with anything. Generalizing because of anything is insanely idiotic.

^ the whole show was actually about disproving some stereotypes about texas. With this example A LOT of people stood up for the gay family.

Its from What Would You Do? so of course the gay family and the waitress were actors.

It won't. There is actually one part when some stranger writes the gay family a note. Quite moving actually

it probably will. i'm really, really easily upset by anything depicting even remotely socially awkward situations.

I totally agree. It'd be really interesting to see the results. This video really surprised me and changed my view on how different states perceive gays.

The letter bit was really touching and did bring a tear to my eye. That guy rocks!

The bystanders seem like they're gay themselves.. I don't think heterosexuals would do the same thing. Just my opinion

They said that 24 out of the 53 bystanders spoke up in support of the gay family. I highly doubt that nearly 50% of random restaurant patrons at a small-town café in Texas would identify as gay.
