I wonder whether customers have to prove that they are gay, and if so, how.

 

Guyliner for the men.
Buzzcuts for the women.

 

Can someone explain the attraction between gay men in the South and Jacksonville, Fla for Memorial Day?
Just about every gay I know is headed there this weekend..and frankly go every Memorial Day.
I could understand if it was a nice place...but Jacksonville is a shithole.
It is a query that has always perplexed me.

private buisness. the law is you can't discriminate against people, and deny them service simply because of race, religion, gender, and in areas with it on the books, sexual orientation.

but the law doesnt say you can't offer a discount to people.

it probably is as much of a tactic to boost sales as it is a show of support for LGBT and same-sex couples.

 

It's not a discount for gay people. It's a discount for anyone who books through that particular way... nothing stopping anyone from doing it.
