Doesn't support LGBT MARRIAGE.

 

This makes me rather happy, as I'm planning to be fully out before the end of this month! Was going to be out yesterday, but ran into some snags with about 5 people who I couldn't tell (due to them not being able to meet with me).

Also, Star, while he does not support the idea of churches marrying non-heterosexual couples, he does support the idea of nationally raising civil unions to the same level of marriage as well as allowing states to decide what they want to do with it. Admittedly, that was from his 2008 campaign, and his views could have changed.

 

This is great. But I still wish he supported same sex marriage.

Reminiscent of "Damn integration. Take your separate bathrooms/schools/bus stops and be happy with them for once." Why should we settle for kinda equal? For separate but equal? No thanks, I have too much self-respect to be happy with just a civil union. Next year, Obama, keep your month and your kind words and give me equality instead, please and thank you.

then he will be free to once more support same-sex marriage, which he backed off on during 08 to not alienate voters. he supported same-sex marriage before, and privately, it is likely he still does.

but you can't do any good if you can't be elected. he has done alot for LGBT rights so far, and there is alot to go.

I think it is safe to say that all of the republican canidates so far would do everything they could to block and reverse gay rights.

Morgan Freeman! I don't think I'm that much of a fan of having a month, like that video shows, but it's ok. It's not like anybody knows what month is for what group except that black history month is in february. I think coming from the president of the united states, it means more.

 

I trust Obama -- he already ruled DOMA unlawful, which is amazing. It's kind of funny because the right wing Christians are mad at Obama for being too supportive of gays and the gays are mad at Obama for not doing enough. I'm glad he's our president and I'm sure if he gets reelected he'll continue to work for equal rights.

 

I've never had a month before. They don't make months for white western-European Protestant men.
