I wish they would reconsider. It is seattle, not redneckcousingropeatopia. Seattle is stereotypically viewed as one of the most liberal, enlightened, educated cities in america.

Well...I can see where they are coming from. It's best to simply have a blanket "no-fly" policy for everyone...saves them the headache of having every group in the world saying "Well you flew it for them..why not us?"
From a policy standpoint it is a wise move and makes perfect sense.

If they don't want tradition or any flags in general, I'm pretty sure it's fine. Plus, the person putting the actual flag up there must be scared as hell.

“We don’t make a habit of flying flags on top of the Space Needle and we make an effort not to fly any flags on a recurring basis,” she said.

    Ok. S'all good.

Well since they are taking a neutral stance as not allowing it for any group it's fine.

I'm just really dissapointed becuase I am going to Seattle's Pride this year which will be my first time and I was looking forward to seeing it up after it being there last year. Oh well I guess I will just be stuck looking at the 100-1,000's of other gay rainbow flags people will have. lol

So long as no stories pop up saying they were forced into not flying it, I'm happy. If it really is indeed a case where they just don't fly a flag more than once, nbd.

I'm not going to sign it sorry. I see no big deal with the Seattle Space Needle not flying the Pride flag. They specifically say they only do such a thing once a year. It's not anything homophobic, it's just their rules.

Yea... let's not be a minority that accuses everyone of being homophobes just because they don't do what we want when we want. =x
