    >>>"You can't teach something that you don't have, so two men will never be able to show a woman how to be a woman," the 31-year-old said.

Both my parents are straight. Who taught me how to be a homo?

I started arguing with people in the comments section. Then realized it was a Fox-based site and gave up the futile effort.

Seriously, though, I don't know any gay parents, so I haven't had anyone to ask questions relative to my own experience as a parent. Are there any gay parents on this site?

My mom's youngest sister is lesbian, and her three kids (from her partner's previous marriage) are some of the swestest and smartest kids I've ever met. And the middle child (a boy) certainly has no trouble figuring out how to "be a man." He's like 13 and he's more mature than this David character.

Thanks, steel. For the record, I'm not suggesting gay parents *can't* do things straight parents do, I'm just curious *how* it gets done. I live in one of the most gay-friendly places on the planet. You'd think I'd know some gay families, but I don't. So I have to learn on a freaking website....

So how do single parent mothers teach their sons to be men? Or single fathers teach their daughters how to be women? That and, what is 'being a woman'? Fitting in with the gender stereotype?

    Yeah, I'm alright thanks.

What, specifically, do you think would be an issue?

You'd think someone like Tyree (being an african-american) would at least understand something about a minority pushing for equal rights.

Then again, he made 1 famous catch in the Super Bowl, so he must be right.

FOX interviewing a sports celebrity. They were interviewed to begin with only because his views aligned with those of this 'impartial' news organization. I wouldn't worry about it. The fact that New York lawmakers have passed this on to the senate is very promising.

As a gay parent, I obviously agree at all. Granted, I have a straight ex wife to help me raise my daughters, I agree with the poster who questioned how single mothers or single fathers manage - how is that different? That logic would suggest that single parents shouldn't be allowed to raise children either.

Hmmm. I live with my father and 2 brothers. Maybe the reason I like girls is because their heterosexual tendencies rubbed off on me? Doubted, because I knew I liked girls when the household was still nuclear.

On the issue of single parents raising children:
Living with my father I had to learn a number of things on my own when it came time to be a "woman". Like getting ready for school dances, what to do during "That time of the month" what products to use in my hair, how to use make-up, all that stuff. My mother wouldnt have tought me any of that stuff if she was around though..

Single moms could raise daughters and Single fathers could raise sons..

So consider. You supposedly need two heterosexual, opposite-sex parents to make sure you child comes out "normal", but just some stray exposure to a pop culture icon can turn the child gay. I'd say the reason is obvious. It kicks so much ass to be gay that it's a full-time job for TWO people to steer young folks clear of it.

Rereading it, I don't think I was communicating very clearly and I can't think of a better way of putting it. So I think I'm going to drop it. lol

"Mr. Tyree was a 6th round draft pick with an unremarkable career, who was also arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking a half pound of pot, at the same time he was also estranged from his girlfriend who was raising their out of wedlock son."

Thanks for your opinion, sir. We'll get back to you.

I saw him being interviewed on CNN this morning. The anchor woman challenged him pretty hard. He was not able to articulate a valid argument. He was talking himself in circles.
