Court gives Colombia Congress 2 years to pass gay marriage bill

I was disappointed by this:

considering that the Anglican and Methodist churches elsewhere are quite gay-friendly.

 

well, this is columbia, which is a completely different culture, so that influences the role churches play... expecially in a nation known for having some huge cultural problems, such as drug wars beyond that most countries face, and some degree of gurella warfare (though I cannot speak for how it is these days, but in the past, it has been a place most outsiders were told to avoid.

 

I love Latin America more and more everyday.
