Today it's, "shows are advertising being gay and influencing people to be gay." They better not one day look back and say, "people weren't gay until popular shows like glee had gay story lines in them." I wouldn't be surprised though. They do more ridiculous things all the time every day. I've never even seen a full episode of glee and I'm gay. I was gay before any mainstream tv or movie had a gay character in it, that I was aware of while growing up.

I hate fox news and I hate mainstream republican/conservative views.

 

This is like saying Grey's Anatomy is turning women into lesbians... it's complete bullshit

I think what the actual theme here is that Glee is making homosexuality seem okay to them, instead of them being convinced something is wrong with them.

 

I find it funny that fox news and its ilk trash moderates and liberals, yet fox tv channel has been moderate/liberal for decades, even decades before fox news was a twinkle in the cancerous void where rupert murdoch's heart would have been expected to be found.

 

So if watching Glee makes kids gay, then the restaurants here in Ohio should have all you can eat breadsticks.

Just a suggestion.

 

Why would Glee turn kids gay just because one of the main characters is gay and has kissed another boy once? There are way more opposite-sex couples kissing on that show, why focus on the one gay relationship among all the straight ones?

 

It's sad, but I think most homophobes would rather have their teenage daughter get pregnant than see her date a chick. I know a few people like that, actually.

 

These people believe that we choose to be gay so therefore kids can be influenced to be gay and sadly too many people believe that. The more gay positive stuff kids see and hear, the more likely they are to become gay? Wrong!

The more gay positive stuff kids see and hear, the more likely they are to come out if they ALREADY are gay and more likely to be accepting of their gay friends. The haters are afraid of this. They want us to be scared and stay in the closet, pretending to be straight, and marrying the opposite gender, just like a lot of them did. They know we're winning this and the majority will soon support equality. Truth and love should always win over lies and hate.

Glee definitely did not MAKE me gay, but it DID help me realize that there's nothing wrong with me and I have to be who I am. That's why I love it so much!

 

I find that Glee helps fight homophobia, but then again the people who watch and like Glee probably weren't too homophobic in the first place..
