The man has grown a backbone. Not much of one, but a backbone nonetheless. He is, in my opinion, the only GOP candidate with a shred of decency.

he just totally killed his campaign. all it will take is for bryan fischer to once more step into his delusion of being the second coming to christ, and call on all the racists, anti-jesus fundeimentalist christians to vote against him.

A republican arguing with bryan fischer is basically playing russian roulette with a fully loaded gun; you are gonna get shot.

Ideological purity is going to kill the GOP. That's the bad thing about it. One day you won't be pure enough for your peers anymore, and they'll drop you just like they did everyone else.

Oh I don't think so. It's simply a cycle that each party goes through from time to time. People said that Ralph Reed was going to be the downfall of the GOP in the early 1990's...and that was hardly the case. Politics is a business of patience more than anything...the person that jumps the gun, more than likely, winds up losing in the end.

The one that realizes the situation for what it is, regardless of what side of the political spectrum you fall under, is the one that really wins in the end.

There's a lot of things you say RedState that make me want to retort...but I won't, because it's pointless.

As for Romney, the amount of times Paul has called him out on half the time not even reading the damn constitution pretty much shows Romney for the idiot he is. I'm not for any of the idiots, but I'd vote for Paul long before voting for Romney.
