    They have the votes, but they are not voting yet, are they? They just know that if they do decide to vote on it, it could pass? I'm confused.

    I'm also perturbed by the opposition already saying that they plan on filing a referendum if it passes.

    the opposition says that the moment the first whispers of marriage equality starts.

    they began the floor debates on the bill yesterday, and I dont know when they expect it to get its first procedural vote, but they do have the votes to pass it. it may get more votes now that the minimum requirement has been met, and others can vote without feel the pressure of the opposition for being the one who put it into the green.
