    Well you don't give him much of a choice: "All politicians are assholes!"-- "Then I'll vote for the lesser asshole." -- "Your attitude is terrible!". Well what else do you want people to say?

    I'm sure there are plenty of good small time politicians (and I'm sure there are some good people on the national level too...) I know one of my state representatives, and she's wonderful. This mayor kid could be perfectly great too.

    Well, he seemingly agreed with me when I said "all politicians are assholes". So, I continued on from there.

    In elections, voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil.

    What do I want people to say? "Fuck voting!" -Thats what I want people to say.

    And that Robert is what devolves us to the realm of neanderthals. It's a right to have a vote, I don't see the point in wasting it by not voting unless I truly don't believe in any of the candidates. And while you can judge the USA and their politics, that's your right to do so, strictly speaking no one should have to listen because bud you don't live there :slight_smile:

    Uh excuse me, which British parties have won majorities in parliament besides Tory and Labour? Most people I have talked to say that the libdems have basically morphed into conservatives after forming a coalition with them.

    I'm not saying that the UK isnt a two-party state... although that assertion is highly questionable now the LibDems have formed a government. I'm just saying that the US is the perfect two-party state.
