This makes Shi'ites in general look like barbarians. It ought not to. In a more enlightened society, we could differentiate between lowlife thugs and everyday people. However, this is not going to reflect well on Shia Islam. The thugs in question hurt everybody in what they do.

I hope I see a phasing out of conservative, religious beliefs in my lifetime. Only then will the world experience anything resembling peace.

Shi'ites are persecuted badly in most Muslim countries (other than Iran, Iraq and central Asia), so you think they'd have empathy for other minorities. Not that I'm surprised. Disgusted, but not overly surprised.

    Sickening.

It's not much of a shock. I remember years ago a group of gays were executed in a public square or something. It's even more sad because Iraq doesn't have any laws against homosexuality. It's the people who react this way to it.

Emos make me laugh. They always complain about people who fit into social groups, and claim that they dress like this because they dont want to fit in, but emo is probably one of the most established social groups there are. it is a bunch of people chooses to dress and act in a certain way. most all other social groups are freeform, and naturally developed.

Jeez, I thought they were just middle-class youth who use an emotionally expressive style to help cope with teenage anxiety. My bad.
