This is really big news, because the New Hampshire house is not liberal by any means. 3/4's of NH's house representatives are republicans, and this was a huge win for us. NOM has been pushing this vote for the last two years and it blew up their face, big time.

    Congratulations New Hampshire! ^_^

Well, it may not be a Democrat-dominated state, but I would contend that it's position in the fairly liberalized New England area gives it a socially progressive bias - even amongst Republicans :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

The real test will be in Washington. Very curious about that - Seattle may be a liberal bastion, but the rest of the state is pretty rural and very socially conservative. A failure to appeal there would give so much momentum for other states trying to get legislation through...

    Still awesome news though (!)(!)(!)

It makes me hopeful that even Republicans are coming along. Obviously not all Republicans are against gay rights, but those in office all too often are. I can't help but hope we'll become a non-issue (or at least one conservatives give up on) in the next few decades.

Apparently NOM's president, Brian Brown, was caught crying in public after New York legalized marriage equality.

I'm sure he's doing the same now. All of that wasted money!

Very amusing, to say the least!
