Vatican criticizes group of American nuns

    I have been following this story about the Vatican ordering a "crackdown'' on a group of American nuns, who are apparently "undermining Roman Catholic teaching on homosexuality and promoting feminist themes incompatible with the Catholic faith".

    I don't want to criticize any faith but I find their insistence on male hierarchy and this doctrine of controlling everyone in their faith very unpleasant.

    the bible is incompatable with Catholic dogma...

    ... so you really should not take the vatican seriously...

    Us Baptists have been saying that for years--seriously how could you put a guy in a pointy hat and slippers over Billy Graham--...glad you hippies in the Pacific Northwest finally agree :slight_smile:

    I don't have much love for billy graham either... so much hatred for his fellow man that biblically speaking, even he cant all himself a christian.

    I think as long as the most important regions for the Roman Catholic Church are South America, Asia and Africa -- the RCC has little reason to reconsider its teachings on homosexuality, which only seems to be civily acceptable in Europe and North America.

    The only truly Global 'Church' that is tackling and considering changing its stance on homosexuality is the Anglican Communion -- and probably because its membership is mostly North American, British, Australian and African. And even it is struggling.

    The Catholic Church is such a joke. Why do people take sex advice from a bunch of celibate old men? It's like asking a vegan for barbecue advice.
