    But gays do have a political agenda. That agenda being the pursuit of complete equality. Its used negatively a lot, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

    It's so much better that this pastor was just telling jokes about child abuse. I got worried there for a second.

    This is nothing but him realizing just how stupid a thing it was to say.

    I thank God every day I have the parents I do. My dad even defended me before he knew I was gay when I was little when my brothers would call me a faggot. He would get this serious look in his eyes and tell them "don't you dare call anyone that."

    I learned just a few weeks ago that his brother, who died at age 21 of cancer, was gay and came out only to my dad. Really puts things in perspective.

    And yes, this pastor is a moron and needs to learn a touch of tact. But we can't stoop to his level. Real power comes when we take the high road in the face of hate speech.

    People like him are a threat to society.

    Frankly, I'm not quite sure what's scarier... the words he said, or the enthusiasm that he got from the crowd he was saying them too.

    It's definitely the second. Kind of like when the audience booed the gay soldier's question at one of the Republican debates. I think the group is much, much scarier than the bigot himself.

    It's easy to ignore one lunatic jackass, but the fact that there are people listening to him is just deplorable. What's horrifying is the poor kids who have to suffer their whole lives because of him.

    One thing I always love when they say how horrible we are is have you ever seen us say the "Republican Agenda", "Christian Agenda" or "Religious Agenda" or even "Bigoted Religious Agenda"? No, I didn't think so. While they say we have an agenda for corrupting children, ruining marriage, and flaunting ourself, we rarely ever if not never, say something about them call what they try to do to stop us from achieving equality as an Agenda. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
