he is named for a anti-christian, anti-constitution, facist greedmonger...

Its sad how the republican part aligns itself with Ayn Rand, a person who believed all that matters in life is that you serve yourself and your own greed above all others, even if you get what you desire requires you to cause serious harm to others on your path to power and wealth.

But then again, thats basically what the conservative movement has been for the last forty years.

Rand Paul is just living up to his namesake by caring only about himself at the expense of everyone else.

Anarchy is a dangerous thing, and honestly, outside of idiot may day protesters who just like to cause trouble, Randianisem is as close as you will get to anarchy in america political discourse.

Yeah, he couldn't possibly deviate more from his father on social and defense issues :/

The fact that his name is "Rand" has nothing to do with adherence to "Randianism" (or, to use a better term - "Objectivism"). His father has already made that clear and has said himself that he didn't care much for Ayn Rand (and the same goes for Anarcho-Capitalists/Market-Minimalists that tutored him).

I won't go into detail on this (since most Americans are blind to the fact that "Right-Left" is a false dichotomy, and fail to recognize this even after people try to explain it to them), but Objectivism has little to do with Anarchist movements (which are rather varied in their views, btw). In fact, they've blatantly professed their distaste for one another.
