    I've gotten a lot more respect for Colin Powell over the years. He stopped working for the Bush administration, which was a GREAT move on his part.

    I think it's a good thing. It's not everyday you hear of a Republican saying they support same-sex marriage. Once he left the Bush Administration he seems to be open more about things that he might have had to keep hush due to his position.

    What I find even better about this is that he is a retired military General stating publicly that he supports the rights of gays to be allowed to marry. We need more generals to be open and accepting like this.
