I REALLY like how Oprah points out how same-sex couples really have to do all that thinking if they're going to have kids, it's not as if they just "oops have a kid". And as a result, the child will truly receive so much love.

Actor Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka spoke with Oprah Winfrey about how they will explain to their kids why they have two fathers instead of a mom and a dad once the kids reach a certain age.
Chatting with Winfrey on her OWN show "Oprah's Next Chapter," Harris responded that he wants his children, one-year-old twins Harper and Gideon (born via surrogate), to have information. "The way they were brought into this world was unique and weirdly scientific... but it came because we really, really wanted kids. We really had thought it through -- financially, emotionally, relationship-wise. ... We didn't just accidentally get pregnant."
Oprah then remarked, "Same-sex couples -- in order to have a child -- means you really, really, really, really have to do a lot of work to make that happen. So if you're a same-sex couple that has a child it means that child is so loved and so wanted." Oprah called it an a-ha moment.
Harris and Burtka have been in a relationship for eight years. Burtka is an actor as well as a trained chef.
Harris came out as gay in 2006. He told People magazine, "Rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."
Burtka, while not as famous as Harris, is no slouch on the celebrity scene. In addition to acting, he is now interviewing celebrities for E! Entertainment. He’s closing in on 50,000 followers on Twitter.
