    What an awful way to die. And to think Cape Town is constantly referred to as the most gay-friendly, 'pink' city here in South Africa. When you have a lethal combination of religion-based prejudice, lack of education and traditional views, this kind of thing happens more frequently.

    If they catch whoever did this I hope they get the punishment they deserve. I remember earlier this year 4 men accused of killing a lesbian woman with massive rocks went to jail after years on trial. It was a great outcome because the court acknowledged it as a hate crime specifically against an LGBT person but at the same time they only got 18 years each (WTF?). We still have a long way to go. People aren't benefiting from the constitution that protects them.
